Making jewelry takes a lot of time, a lot of skill, and a ton of tools. Sometimes, even the most simple-looking pieces of jewelry take complex construction techniques and tools. To make a pair of silver hammered hoop earrings, the wire must be cut, soldered, filed, sanded, shaped into a hoop, hammered for texture, polished and finally cleaned–twice.
